We have several new books at the Black Range Museum this month and more on the way. And, with many thanks to Gary Gritzbaugh, we have new, bigger book stand to show them off! Due to the upcoming holidays I have particularly tried select a few titles with kids and young readers in mind that have southwestern themes. Overall, we try to provide books reflecting on the areas where the Black Range Museum has focused so if anyone’s interest is piqued, maybe we can help fulfill your curiosity quotient.
We particularly have selected books on natural and cultural history. These include local wildlife, geology, plants, outdoor activities, and field guides. Also the Native American cultures of the Apache and Mimbres as well as the development and history of the towns of the southern Black Range, including the activities that helped them develop, such as mining and ranching as as interesting local people and events. We also offer a selection of books relevant to the talents of our gift shop artists and craftsmen. Come on by to check them out.
